What is the I Prefer Planner program?
The I Prefer Planner program is designed to reward meeting and event planners for the business they bring to participating I Prefer hotels. As an I Prefer Planner, you will earn I Prefer points for every meeting and program you book with Preferred Travel Group's National Sales Office or Group Desk. I Prefer Planners can redeem their points on personal travel for free nights, dining, and spa services.*

Who is qualified to be a member of the I Prefer Planner program?
Professional meeting planners globally are eligible to join the I Prefer Program as a designated I Prefer Planner.
Can I enroll my company in the I Prefer Planner program to earn I Prefer points?
No, the I Prefer Planner program only offers individual memberships. However, we can award points toward a Corporate Custodian Account. Please note that points earned through I Prefer Planner cannot be used towards a Master Account for group programs. Please contact us via email at planner@iprefer.com if you would like to begin account registration.
I am not a professional meeting planner but I am responsible for booking and planning one or more meetings per year. Am I eligible to receive I Prefer points for my meetings?
Yes, any I Prefer Member who books an eligible program of 10 room nights or more with a participating I Prefer hotel is eligible to receive I Prefer points on the actualized room revenue.
My company does not allow me to participate and earn points through hotel loyalty programs. Can I still be a member of the I Prefer Planner program?
No, although you will not be able to earn points on eligible programs, we encourage you to become an I Prefer Member to earn and redeem points on personal travel. You can become an I Prefer Member here.
Earning
What is an eligible/qualifying program?
As an I Prefer Planner, you are qualified to earn points for actualized programs, meetings, or room blocks of 10 room nights or more per night. I Prefer Planners are eligible to earn a maximum of 500,000 (US$100,000 spend) I Prefer points per program.
What hotel or event charges qualify you to earn points?
Points can only be earned on actualized room revenue, excluding taxes and additional charges.
I just booked an eligible event through Preferred Travel Group’s National Sales Office or Group Desk. How do I get my points?
Any I Prefer Planner who books an eligible program at a participating I Prefer hotel is eligible to earn 5 points for every US$1 spent on actualized room revenue booked through the Preferred Travel Group's National Sales Offices or Group Desk. Upon the program’s completion, you will need to submit a Points Request form for the eligible program.
I booked my meeting/event through Preferred Travel Group's National Sales Office or Group Desk and it has just completed. I am not a member of the I Prefer Planner program and would like to earn points on my last event.
You will need to enroll in the I Prefer Planner program and submit a Points Request form for the eligible program.
All points requests will be subject to verification with the hotel. Please allow up to 30 business days for the verification and point awarding process to take place.
I just booked an eligible program through a participating I Prefer hotel directly. How do I get my points?
I Prefer Planners are eligible to earn points for programs booked with Preferred Travel Group's National Sales Office or Group Desk. For any programs booked directly to the hotel, please inquire with the hotel directly.
What do I receive when I book an eligible program through the Preferred Travel Group's National Sales Office or Group Desk?
Any I Prefer Planner who books an eligible program at a participating I Prefer hotel is eligible to earn 5 points for every US$1 spent on actualized room revenue booked through the Preferred Travel Group's National Sales Offices or Group Desk.
When will I receive my points for an eligible event?
Once you have submitted a Points Request form, please allow up to 30 business days for points to be posted to your account. All points requests will be subject to verification with the hotel.
I submitted my Points Request form and have not received my points. What should I do?
If points have not been posted to your account within 30 business days, please contact us via email at planner@iprefer.com.
Can I earn points for past events?
As an I Prefer Planner, you have up to six months after the consumption of your program to request points. Any program past this grace period will no longer be eligible for points.
If I book a room for myself for personal travel, how will I earn I Prefer points?
If you book and stay at a participating I Prefer hotel, you will earn points as a guest pursuant to the I Prefer Program and not as a part of the I Prefer Planner program. The points earned for your room will post to your I Prefer account as a stay transaction.
I’m a third-party planner, do you have matching points for third parties?
Kindly note that Preferred Travel Group will only award points once per program. Please speak with your National Sales Office for more details.
I booked an eligible program at a Preferred Travel Group member hotel, but the hotel is not a participating I Prefer hotel. Will I still receive points?
Yes, you will receive points for the booking but please note that points can only be used at participating I Prefer hotels.
Redemption
How can I use my points?
Points can be redeemed for cash-value Reward Certificates for personal travel. Reward Certificates can be applied towards free nights, dining, and spa services, but varies by hotel. I Prefer points expire two years after they are awarded if no bookings or certificates are redeemed. I Prefer certificates however never expire and we encourage you to order certificates with your points.
